    Polyolefin is currently the most studied and applied heat shrinkable materials, polyolefin heat shrinkable tube is a general designation, a big series, in addition to the thermal contraction function, electrical insulation, physical mechanical properties and chemical resistance, is also the reason of this kind of product most widely used. 

    Polyolefin is mostly crystalline polymer materials. After using physical methods such as radiation crosslinking or chemical crosslinking, the polymer will not melt when heated above its melting point, but will be in a high elastic state. Therefore, external forces can be applied to make the polymer deform. 

    Common polyolefin polymers used for making heat shrinkable tubes include polyethylene (PE), ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. Their response temperatures vary widely depending on the type of polymer, ranging from 80 ° C to 180 ° C, and thus have different USES.

    For example, fluoropolymer shape memory materials have a high response temperature and can be used in situations requiring high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. EVA shrinkage temperature is low, made into low temperature heat shrinkable tube, applied in home appliances, electronic instruments and other fields. The long-term service temperature of the crosslinked polyethylene tube is -40 ~ 125℃, and the short-term service temperature can reach 150℃. Therefore, it is widely used in the connection and protection of wire and cable, chemical pipeline, instrument protection and household appliances. 

    When the thermal shrinkage materials prepared by polyolefin polymers cannot meet the requirements of customers, they are generally blended with other polymers based on PE. For example, PE and EDPM(epDM) are blended to make outdoor cable bushing with high strength and aging resistance, PE and polyolefin + additives to make stress tube with high dielectric constant and low volume resistivity, etc.QQ图片20200714160300_副本.png
